Purpose
This 20-page graphic memoir was created in memory of my grandmother, Ellen Lehtela, who passed away in spring of 2021. It reminisces about the wonderful times we spent with her over the years out in her cabin in the middle woods, while also touching on the hardships of losing a loved one during the COVID-19 pandemic. Ultimately, this memoir was created to provide myself and my family the closure we never got and to remember the strong, independent, and resilient woman we all look up to and adored.
